1. Issue a MAYDAY Call

  • Simulate calling for help in an emergency situation.

2. Secure the Room

  • Close the door to the room if possible.

3. Locate the Window

  • Identify the window position.

4. Move to the Window

6. Position Yourself

7. Prepare for Exit

  • Place your inside hand on the corner of the window sill for support.

8. Start Climbing

  • Raise yourself high enough to clear the window.

  • Keep your body low, with your face close to the window sill as you move through.

10. Exit the Window

  • Move out in this order: arm, head, then legs.

11. Lower Yourself

  • Rest your body on the window frame, keeping a low posture.

12. Support Yourself

  • Grip the inside sill with your inside arm and hand to stabilize yourself.

13. Hang Position

  • Hook your inside arm and leg over the window sill, achieving a stable hanging position.

  • Use your radio to provide a status update and call for rescue.
